Okay guys, my lovely publisher Entranced Publishing is offering a wonderful opportunity to writers in September. Friday, September 6th they will be running a Twitter pitch event under the hashtag #FridayRomance. This event is open to all writers with a completed adult romance manuscript. Seriously, it's a wonderful opportunity! Take it from someone who found a home for their story in a 140 character pitch.
What you need to know:
Does the thought of squeezing all the goodness of your story into 140 characters have you looking like this?
What you need to know:
- This pitch party is for adult romance only. It can be any heat level, just has to be aimed for adult readers.
- If you have a YA manuscript you think is right for Entranced follow the submission guidelines here.
- In order to pitch you will have to follow @EntrancedPub on Twitter.
- You will have to leave room for the hashtag #FridayRomance somewhere in your pitch.
Does the thought of squeezing all the goodness of your story into 140 characters have you looking like this?
Don't worry! A few of the Entranced authors are here to help! Some of us are living breathing survivors of the first round of the Entranced Twitter pitch party and we want you to know that success can really be just 140 characters away. We've gotten together and decided to offer you all a little workshop on each of our blogs for your pitches so you can get them as polished as possible.
Here's how it works:
2. I'll (and other Entranced authors) will give you feedback.
3. Fun's, not over. You'll need to give feedback as well. Tell others what you think of their pitch. What do you like? What
don't you like? Does it make you want to read more? Give feedback to at least two others, please. And keep checking
back for more pitches!
Here's how it works:
- In the comments post the following:
- Name: (you can include your Twitter handle as well so we can all follow you and cheer you on!)
- Title:
- Genre:
- Query: A short blurb (about a paragraph) telling us about your story like what would appear on the back of a book.
- Twitter Pitch(s): (Make sure you include #FridayRomance so you know you'll have enough room)
